“Shake That Thing” by The Preservation Hall Jazz Band. This version swings hard, and is one of my favorite songs to dance to. It is also a great song to fill the floor.

27. A song you like to blast on your car stereo when it comes on:
C’est si bon / The Hot Club of San FranciscoThis was slightly difficult since I don’t really listen to the radio that much, but if I do it’s the classical/jazz station. So, if it’s 7PM (or later) and I’m driving home from school it’s jazz time. Which usually means the volume is turned up pretty high anyways ;). This was one I that I especially enjoyed though - “C’est si bon” (say it is good). ;3

Linda Jones - Seeing Is Believing (Loma, 1967)
While we’re still talking about playing behind the beat, this is a good example. Check the hits right before “seeing is believing”. Gorgeous song. From her popular Loma record “Hypnotized”.
I just finished season 5 of Mad Men like 20 minutes ago. This is so perfect.
I AM SO EXCITED.
Seriously. If you don’t want Don and the gang taking up space on your dash, ignore my blog on Sundays and Mondays. I won’t be offended. Do that tag block thing.
