DUDE HAS RHYTHM. DUDE IS REALLY FUCKIN’ CUTE. DAMN IT.
Saw this on Facebook….wanna learn the Lindy Hop? If you’re near Fremont, California here’s your chance!
“This Thursday night we have Live Music from The Frisky Frolics at Swingin At The Rack . Our special guest DJ Ginevra Altomara will be spinning the tunes and dance lessons by the The San Francisco Jitterbugs Johnny BlueJeans & Shannon Warf for only $5 at the Saddle Rack in Fremont, California from 7pm-12:30am. This week we will be teaching Lindy Hop @ Swingin At The Rack”
The San Francisco Jitterbugs are amazing!
I’ve heard this venue is really picking up speed!
God, I need to move closer to LA.
Mondays at Joes.
Tuesdays at the Bungalow with the CA Feetwarmers.
Wednesdays at the Mint with Dustbowl Revival (or Sassafras Saloon on first Wednesdays).
Thursdays at Gorbals or The Edison or Lindy Groove.
And then random weekend events?
CANNOT HANDLE.
What’s the difference between micromusicality and macromusicality?
People keep bringing it up, and I’m legitimately interested in knowing what they’re talking about :3
At the Cal Bal Classic, Nick and Jeremy described it as being lyrical or being rhythmical. (I think it was rhythmical… ugh.)
I can only assume that it’s similar to micro/macro musicality. One dances kind of in front of the music “lyrical” and one dances behind it “rhythmic.”
Nick Williams’ overall musicality would be lyrical or micro.
We had to get with a partner and shuffle about switching between the two styles. It was really interesting and incredibly challenging.
Any big (or small) events concerning Lindy hop in Central Valley?
There’s the San Luis Obispo lindy exchange next weekend if you don’t mind a trip to the coast. There’s dancing in Fresno once a week as well!
I had a request for some Frankie.
THESE ARE SO GREAT IS THERE A DESKTOP ONE YET BECAUSE OH EM GEE
You know what while I’m in JB and Tatiana mode here have this one too.
I like her outfit. And her dancing. And his leading.
